Big Agnes Storm King

Big Agnes Storm King
The Big Agnes Storm King is perfect for staying warm and dry on crisp and shivery nights with a 0-degree rating and 650-fill down insulation. A WRM nylon outer shell keeps moisture and humidity out while an extremely roomy rectangular design affords campers more should and leg room for a comfortable, cozy slumber. Like its brother, the Big Agnes Pomer Hoit, the Storm King is lightweight at just over 3 pounds and lacks bottom insulation. Insulating pads can be inserted through a back slip and this, coupled with the ingenuitive bottom, makes the Storm King a great lightweight and warm solution for light winter camping.

Winter campers say the Storm King performs as billed. While it’s not a great bag for absolutely frigid conditions, they say it’s perfect for maintaining tepid temperatures and dry feet in 0-degree weather. Day climbers love how lightweight the Storm King is, and say they barely notice it in their packs when climbing big slopes. This bag isn’t too hot for car camping, either, so it is a great solution for overnight and weekend trips on the ‘light’ side. Backpackers say insulation pad insertion is quick and easy, and provides all the bottom insulation needed from a comfortable, roomy rectangular bag.
